Why Men Cant Say Love

Why Men Cant Say Love

The problem is that men also have a powerful sex drive that pulls them toward women. Many men try to gain sexual fulfillment from women without allowing themselves any emotional involvement. Fortunately, however, this male training can’t suppress the enormous drive to bond with and love another. And so most men do, at some point in their lives, fall in love. The problem is that this goes strongly against their male training.

Historically there have been many warning, in actual socialization, as well as in myths and stories, about how dangerous it is for a man to lose his heart to a woman and how this takes away from a man’s strength. We hear of Adam being seduced by Eve into eating the apple, and of Sampson who, against the advice of others, falls in love with Delilah and ultimately loses his strength.

Love was belived to weaken a man, and this notion has kept men from expressing lobe in the way most easily recognized by women that it, by saying “I love you”

But of course love isn’t the only emotion that a man’s anesthesia deadens. Sadness and fear, except in mild and controlled forms, are also avoided by many men.
