Kthimi i metaleve ne florinj do te thote ndryshimi i elementeve, pra i perberjes se atomit. Ndryshimi i elementeve mesa di un ndodh ne temperatura shume te larta sic eshte ajo e yjeve sic eshte dielli. Brenda trupit te diellit, hidrogjeni ndryshon ne helium etj. Eshte e mundur, por kerkon energji aq te madhe qe nuk ka florinj ne bote qe ta paguajne.

nga ana tjeter, me sa kam lexu e ndigju, alkimija nuk ka kene thjesht dicka ne lidhje me kthimin e metaleve te tjera ne ar. ka pase ma shume te bajne me nji disipline te vetvetes, e qe reflektohet ne punen e tyne ne disiplinimin e subjekteve e materies qe i rrethon.
alkimija ka kene e njoftun vjet para krishtit. nuk dihet dicka e sigurte ne e kane aplikuar egjiptianet e lashte apo jo, po kinezet po. me vone alkimija mori hov gjate kohes se dinastive dhe perandorive myslimane. (al-kimja eshte emri origjinal ne arabisht, nga e ka origjinen dhe fjala kimi qe perdoret sot).
ma vone nepermjet myslimaneve te spanjes u njoh ma gjane ne evrope. thuhet se shume kane dashte dhe kane keqperdore aftesite qe keto "sekte" shkencetaresh ishin te zote me arrite.
thuhet se me kalimin e kohes kjo dituni u humb sepse nuk u trashegu. ne evrope alkimistat e fundit thuhet te kene kene nga shek 18.

Shkencetaret ruse ne kohen e Luftes se Ftohte arriten te bejne flori duke perdorur elemente me numer atomik te madh (Uranium per shembull) ose me numer atomik 1 me te vogel. The process is called fisson. What happens is that a neutron is accelerated by a machine called cyclotron (i think) then it's lauched at "heavy" element. The neutron is captured by the nucleus and it becomes unstable; therefore its splits forming 2 stable elements. (e.g. elementi Fm (fermium with an atmic number of 100) can be split into Au (gold with an atomic number of 79) and Sc (scandium with an atomic numer of 21). Any possible element can be formed as long as their atomic number adds up to 100 (in this case). The other method is by using Pt(plutonium with an atomic number 1 less than Gold). A neutron is also lauched at the nucleus of Pt and Pt turns into "precious" gold (an electron is also emmited). However the Russians stopped doing it because the process was very expensive and if they actually continued it the result would be a depreciation in the value of gold. The more gold they would make the less it would be worth.

Alkimia ekziston. Por akoma nuk dalin fondet (parate) per te e bere procedure standarde.
